Everyone who know Ty knows he loves lights. So this holiday season we spent A LOT of time looking at Christmas lights. There is outdoor nice shopping area called Riverwoods near our home that goes all out for the holidays. Ty loved it so much we ended up going back two more times. There are live bands, lights, Santa (who Ty loved), and Ty's favorite - horse drawn carriage rides. He did not want to ride, just watch the horses ride past. The horses were covered in bells so he could hear them coming and get super excited.

Town Christmas Party
Santa came to our town hall! Ty was not shy one bit. We set him down and he crawled right over to Santa. Ty does not have one shy bone in his body.
Temple Square
For Clint's families annual Christmas party this year the family decided to all go see the play "Saviour of the World" which is a play about the life of Jesus Christ. Ty would never last that long so while the family went to see the play Ty and I went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see the christmas lights. Ty loves lights so much and kept pointing and saying "ohhh" "ohhh" "ooh." There are live choirs singing and an outdoor navtivity production. Ty loved all the commotion. I didn't get any pictures of the family, but they all had a wonderful time at the play and were all quite uplifted.
Swimming
Clint and I booked a local hotel for a little getaway, but we could not bear to getaway from Ty so we took him swiming at the hotel pool then took him to his Grandprents. He obviously loved it. He also love crawling up and down the hotel hallways and trying to get all the guests to pay attention to him. He also loved the hotel room with all the new things to explore. It was so hard to take him to my parents. We missed him so much and kept talking the whole night about how much fun he had had.
We left Ty with his Grandparents for a couple more days while we down to Las Vegas to watch the National Finals Rodeo. I had never been to a real big rodeo like that. It was very fun, and very fun to see Clint get so excited. I had no idea who anyone was so I just cheered for all the cowboys from Utah or Oklahoma (where Ty was born :).
Las Vegas replica of the Eiffel Tower. Oh how I wish it was the real thing!
In front of the fountain show at the Bellagio. I thought Las Vegas was supposed to be warm, but it was freezing rain and snow the whole time. We wore winter coats the whole time.
It was even such a bad blizzard on the drive home that we had to pull over in the middle of the night and stay at a Motel 6.
Deck the Halls
Ty loves lights of all kinds so decorating the Christmas tree was very exciting for him. He stayed at my feet playing with the lights the whole time. He never took off any ornaments the whole holiday season. He pointed at them but never once even tried to take them off. Every morning he begged for the Christmas tree lights to be turned on. If he ever noticed they had been turned off he would come find us to alert us of the emergency! Because of this we didn't take our tree down until the end on January. He just loved his tree too much.

Early Christmas
Christmas came early for a little boy at our house! Ty got his first horse - Dakota! Ty loves to ride his horse. If you ask him if he wants a horse ride he go nuts with excitement. It is the only place he will keep his socks and boots on for longer than two seconds.
Bundled up ready to ride!
It is hard to get a picture of Ty riding because he hates his horse to every stop. As soon as we stop he wants to giddy-up go.
Ty and I on the horse and Daddy leading the way.
Cutting Christmas Trees
Every year our family goes to cut Christmas trees in the mountains. Ty slept the whole time we were looking for trees, but the cousins had a great time sledding while the adults searched for the perfect tree. Clints poor arm was dead asleep from holding Ty so long.
Afterwards we went to warm up and eat yummy soup thanks to Aunt Shayna. Ty loves to crawl through peoples legs, and all his cousins were very willing to make tunnels for him.
The day ended for Ty with a hair cut from Uncle Alex. He has one of those vacuum cutters so the kids don't get covered in hair. Ty did pretty good and Alex did great on the haircut. He is hired!
