Christmas Tree Hunt

Every year my family cuts Christmas trees in the mountains. We were so excited for Ty to hunt for his first Christmas tree. We bundled him up so much he could not bend his arms.

Can you spot Ty in this picture?

We all found beautiful trees and the weather was perfect.

There was some good sledding.

And very good wipe-outs.

Two really cute cousins!

Ty's first candy cane. Good thing he loves to brush his teeth because he loved it!

We have the tree up and decorated and Ty loves to look at the lights. He jumps with delight every time we turn the lights on.

Thanksgiving

This is the only photo I took of everyone. It was so fun to be with all my family and friends that I just forgot to take any more.

Ty was the center of attention. He loved it.

Here we are stuffed to the hilt.
We have so much to be thankful for - especially that little guy in the middle!

Surgery

Ty had his big surgery November 2nd. We had been dreading it for months, but Ty was a champ and did great!

In his hospital gown getting ready to go in! He was so hungry because he couldn't eat the night before he was trying to eat any and everything.

I thought I would cry when I handed him off to the anesthesiologist but Ty just gave the anesthesiologist a huge grin and started rubbing his face in excitement to meet a new friend. I ended up laughing instead. He is such a social kid he was loving all the new nurses he was meeting.

This is the part when I cried! He was quite sad coming out, but he still wanted to start jumping right away.

We got to bring him home the day of the surgery and already he wanted to start playing with his toys.

For the next two weeks Ty was super sore and swollen and pretty sad all the time. His casts did not bother him much after the first week, but where they repaired his hernias he was black and blue and swollen so much he could not sit up at all. He did have to go back on oxygen for a bit, but not for long. My Mom stayed with us for two weeks to help out and you can see Ty really appreciated it.

Ty is back to his old self now!

Figuring out how to use his cast. He has found that it makes loud noises if he bangs it. He bangs everything in sight - including his Mama!

We are proud of baby Ty for being such a tough cookie!

Trick or Treating

We spent the evening trick-or-treating with Ty's cousins (well we stayed at their house to hand out candy). Of course I could not decide on only one costume this year, so for Halloween night he went as a nerd complete with a tie and suspenders!

One showing his shoes! AHHHH he looked so cute. I can't stand it.

I owe the cuteness to his cousin Aubrey. She was the one who thought of the idea.

Grandma's Annual Halloween Party

Even Clint dressed up!

Happy Halloween from our little stinker! This is the same skunk costume that my mom made for my oldest brother in 1974! We all wore it as babies! Ty made a very cute skunk!

The grand kids playing with the a brain made out of Jello. Grandma throws the best Halloween parties.

Ty didn't last in his costume very long! He wanted to play with his cousins.

Krista's adorable cupcakes!

Everyone had to try on Clint's costume!

Carving Pumpkins

Ty really did not see what the fuss was all about.

Even Daddy could not convince him we were doing something fun.

Well at least Clint and I had fun carving a jack-o-lantern wearing glasses!

Ty's First Trip to the Park

Ty took his first trip to the park in town a couple of months ago. It was a big hit. I think next summer we might be spending a lot of time there.

Jumping in the leaves.

This picture is blurry, but when Ty first got on the swing he was terrified.

With a little help from Daddy he warmed up to the idea.

By the time we left he was having a ball!
